If Crystal Goh looks familiar it’s because she works as an administration office assistant and building manager at the SRWC. And if you’ve met her, you’d agree she brings reliable service and beaming enthusiasm to every new task she takes up – and her reasoning? “I can’t help but enjoy it!”
“Every time people ask me if I like my job, I tell them that it’s the first time I can truly say I absolutely love it and have no complaints,” Crystal said. “Choosing to work on campus is one of the best decisions I made in college!”
A graduating senior studying sociology, Crystal has been working at the SRWC since Fall 2016 as an administration office assistant and recently added a position as building manager. As an administration office assistant, she organizes reservations, gives facility tours and offers locker assistance when necessary. She assists whoever needs help—membership services, building managers and SRWC members alike.
“I’m always there to lend a helping hand,” she said. “I handed out snacks during finals week last semester, which I really enjoyed. I love talking to students, meeting new people and encouraging them to be successful!”
One of Crystal’s favorite projects was serving on the committee for ASI Winter Mingle 2016—ASI’s annual holiday party. She also enjoys her newly added role as a building manager, in which she performs set-up duties, ensures the facility is functional and acts as a first-responder.
“My coworkers at ASI have made my experience wonderful,” she said. “The full-time staff treat us really well and make our jobs exciting. I always recommend people to work on campus—it’s one of the best things you can do.”
