You work, intern in a different city, have class, plus you have to study and then you think, “When do I have time to workout?”
Alumna, Charlene Rice, who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, stated that after graduating from college, life continues to be busy and free time is limited. “Though I’m really busy, I’m so happy that I can use the SRWC, it’s so convenient,” she said. “I workout during lunchtime and though my lunch is only 30 minutes, I try to squeeze it in when I can.”
Rice commutes 30 miles a day and by the time she gets home, she’s tired. “When I get home I don’t want to exercise,” she said. “I used to go to Curves, but it felt like a chore, so I was really unmotivated to go. I didn’t want to go out again after a long day of work.”
Rice also expressed that the SRWC is a great benefit to students. “There are fitness classes, different types of machines that you can use and an amazing inside track you can run or walk on without being in the hot sun.”
In the seemingly midst of chaos, you can actually workout in between classes, before your first class, or even after your last class and you don’t even have to leave campus, and you can freely enjoy using the SRWC at your leisure. So take a few minutes out of your day and go to the SRWC, you’ll be glad you did.
