Have you ever been interested in instructional fitness at the SRWC, but the barrier of reserving a spot in-person held you back? Maybe the anxiety of parking on campus persuaded you to skip that lifting class? That all changes with SRWC GO, a portal designed to remove the difficulties of accessing resources at the SRWC by letting you sign up for classes, outdoor adventures, intramurals and more directly from your phone or computer.
Membership Services and Outreach Coordinator Leiana Swanson is excited for the impact this portal will have on students and members of the SRWC.
“The goal of SRWC GO is to transform the way in which students and members interact with the amazing resources available to them at the SRWC,” she explained. “The portal expands access by removing barriers such as parking that discourage people from signing up for some of the discounted classes and other opportunities the SRWC has to offer.”
By signing in with the same credentials used for BeachBoard, MyCSULB, or any other university portal, students can reach SRWC GO from anywhere they have internet access. Non-student members of the SRWC will be able to obtain login credentials from the front desk.
Additionally, from now until the end of February, the SRWC has a special offer for students or members with questions and concerns. That’s why everyone who inquires at the front desk about SRWC GO will be automatically entered into a raffle for the chance to win an amazing prize such as a bike! Multiple winners will be selected for various prizes, so don’t be shy – ask away!
“The staff at the SRWC are constantly looking for ways to improve the interaction between our members and our services,” Leiana said. “SRWC GO is only the beginning – it will grow, and ideally participation in classes, outdoor adventures and intramurals will follow suit.”
