This semester alone SRWC members and staff have spent time climbing Stoney Point, hiked all the way to the Hollywood sign and even stayed overnight in Joshua Tree. Signups fill up fast, so make sure you reserve your slot before the deadlines! Here are the final two trips of the the semester:
Camp & Climb New Jack City - Nov. 10 to 11, 2018.
Join us for two days of outdoor climbing and camping in New Jack City, California. New Jack City offers over 450 sport climbs across the high desert, with something for climbers of all abilities! All equipment, food and transportation are covered by the $55 student or $110 non-student fee.
The deadline to sign up for this trip is Nov. 5 and there will be a pre-trip meeting on Nov. 7.
Topanga Overlook Hike - Dec. 1, 2018.
If you’re ready for a moderately difficult hike with an absolutely breathtaking pay-off, then make sure your name is on the list for this trip! The hike extends from Trippet Ranch in Topanga State Park to the Parker Mesa Overlook and will include a quick sightseeing opportunity at Topanga Lagoon.
Fun fact: the name of this state park outlook was the inspiration for the beloved character on Boy Meets World!
The deadline to sign up for this trip is Nov. 26 and costs $25 for students and $50 for non-students. Lunch and transportation will be provided.
