Students have been working hard to earn their 50 points for the 2018-2019 Owen’s Condition for Tuition challenge. Now it’s time for those students to celebrate their accomplishments and hopefully walk away with a semester of FREE undergrad tuition at our annual finale event!

Are you a student worried that you won’t win the free tuition? Don’t fret -- there are plenty of opportunities to win some of our other awesome giveaways, including free summer memberships to the SRWC, a brand new surfboard or a 3G bike, gift cards to many great places around Long Beach and more, All who are hoping to be one of the lucky winners must be present at the event to take home any of the prizes, and the grand prize drawing for free tuition will occur at the end of the 5 - 7 p.m. program.

If you’re not already convinced to join us, we will also have free food, live music and plenty of entertainment including henna tattoo artists, caricature drawings and oversized balloon slides. Plus, everyone who completed the challenge will be able to pick up their finisher gift at the event. So, come gather with us in front of the Student Recreation & Wellness Center on Tuesday, April 30 from 5 - 7 p.m. for an evening of excitement, fun and free prizes!

“For two or three months, I would keep going over to the rock wall and talk to the manager, and every time he would say ‘You’re going to do it today, aren’t you?’” recalls Watten. “And I would always say ‘No, I just did a workout,’ and finally he just said ‘Come on, let’s do it.’ So finally, I did it and it was great!”
