If you’re the type of person who gets intimidated easily by gym strength floors, you’re not alone! We’ve heard your concerns – which is why the Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) is adding a Weightlifting 101 class to the list of fall instructional classes!
Weightlifting 101 is meticulously designed to empower participants with a fundamental grasp of weightlifting, making sure that you walk away from each session brimming with confidence! Taught by a certified personal trainer specializing in weightlifting, this class will break down the components of strength training through a variety of movements using dumbbells, barbells and machines. By the end of each session, you’ll come one step closer to impeccable form and the ability to construct a personalized strength workout regimen that’s perfect for you!
Perfect for all ages and skill levels, this fee-based class maintains an intimate size of eight participants to allow personalized guidance from the instructor. With three four-week sessions offered throughout the semester, you can add a boost to your fitness routine every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the SRWC workout areas. The first four-week session starts Sept. 12 and costs only $10 for students and $15 for non-students! And if this class doesn’t align with your fitness preferences, then you should check out our other SRWC Instructional Fitness classes such as Total Body Work, Boxing 101 and Pilates Reformer!
You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity to spruce up your exercise regime. So, act quickly because this class is first-come, first-served and is bound to fill up fast! SRWC members can register through the SRWC GO! app under instructional classes, or in-person at the fitness desk!
